This is set at the futures of both Ranma and MGR.  Ranma is now married to Hikaru from MGR.  This is after the fact that wife Akane, died leaving him and their child.  Back on Cephiro a new evil force is successful in defeating the queen, the water magic knight, and most of their forces.  While torturing them they send off someone to destroy the current pillar, Hikaru.
