Created: 09/25/2001 Rewrite: 04/09/2003 (>2nd) Updated: 04/27/2003 ---------- She had won, but the cost was terrible. The cost was her friends, and family. She felt the victory was hollow, and worthless. Sure, she saved everyone on the planet, but at the cost of her sister, her friends, even though she didn't always get along with them. She still would miss them. Who was the young woman? The red skirt and black ribbons on her weren't the best of indicators as to her identity, as the black ribbons and ringed earrings indicated her position as holder of the powers of Sailor Saturn, the red skirt and hair would otherwise mark her as the senshi of Sol, but Sailor Sol has yellow ribbons, and stud earrings. However, the identity of this young woman is indeed Sailor Sol. She looked again at the crystal that held the, now dead senshi. All save herself. She walks over to the wall-like crystal, that holds all the other senshi, imprisoned for all time. Unless she can figure out how to break the crystal. But that wasn't likely, after all, it can take the most powerful attacks in her arsonal, without even a scratch, and she doesn't want to risk the uncontrolled power of the Death Reborn Revolution-- although she had tried the Silance Glaive Surprise-- without effect. There simply wasn't anything she could do that would penetrate that barrior, and if she succeeded she might kill those inside. She says to herself, as she places her hand on the crystal wall. She catches sight of something in the corner of her visual field. She turns her attention to the something. It's small, shiny, and silverish in color. She recognizes said item imediately, after all, she'd seen it meny times before. It is the Ginzuishou. The Silver Crystal. The redheaded Senshi of the Sun and Silance thinks to herself. <"Look inside your heart, child."> A voice says in Sailor Sol's head. <"The answers you seek are there."> ----- Some time later: She says in her mind, as the power courses through her being. The power coursing through her would have long destroyed almost anyone, or anything else. She lost consciousness a few moments later, the powerflow was too great for her to take. ----- The part of her that had wanted a normal life, well more normal, anyway, had an effect on the Ginzuishou. Enough so that it, after her primary request had been filled, it granted her secondary one. ----- Two and a half years ago: She looked at the henshin stick, she knew that the man had been telling her the truth regarding the stick, even without activating it. It was hers, she could tell. "SOL POWER, MAKE UP!!" The ten year old girl vanished into a flash of light. A few moments later, she reappeared, but she also wasn't the same. She was dressed in a white bodysuit, red miniskirt, red knee-high boots, red choker, red trim on her elbow length gloves, a golden tiara with a red gem in the center, red earrings, there was a bow in the center of the chest, and another in back, the ribbons for both were yellow, and lastly a black gem in the center of the chest bow. ----- Three months after she first transformed: She met Ami in the park for her weekly tutoring session. They had made much progress in the last three and a half months, but they continued the tutoring sessions, partly because they did give the two girls a chance for friendship that they otherwise, do to their social habits they wouldn't have. Ami, because she's a bookworm. Ranma because she's spent the last six or so years on the road with her only social contact being her father. Both girls had their secrets, that they never told anyone. Chief among Ami's being that she's a Sailor Senshi. The senshi of the first planet, Sailor Mercury. Ranma, however has two. The first of them being that she wasn't born female, but became female shortly before coming to Juuban. The means involved were magical, but only the redhead knew the truth. The other of her secrets, however, is much like Ami's. She's a Sailor Senshi too, the senshi of the very core of the solar system, Sailor Sol. The two girls had little in common when they first met, aside from gender and eye color. The two girls were just about to begin their study session, when they both heard a scream. The source of the scream was very close. In fact, it didn't take long for both girls to see the source of said scream. Ami's thoughts mirrored those of the redhead. Ranma and Ami retrieved their henshin rods, Ranma's retrival of hers occuring just before Ami's. Ranma raised her henshin rod into the air, knowing that her friendship with Ami will never be the same again. "Sol Power, MAKE UP!" She just didn't know how. ----- "Mercury Power, MAKE UP!" Ami said, automaticly, although it did register in her mind that she had heard another transformation phrase, and what the phrase was, and lastly, what that meant. Even before the transformation finished, Ami realized that the enigmatic, often thought of as urban legend, Sailor Sol was nearby, and appearently was a senshi like the she was. As her transformation finished, she caught sight of a redheaded senshi. Ami asks herself. ----- Her transformation complete, Sailor Sol moved into action. She did a flying kick, that sent the youma into a nearby tree. The youma formed a knife-edge from it's arm, and attacked Sailor Sol, who just barely dodged the blade in time. But she failed to dodge the foot, and was sent flying into a tree. "SHABON SPRAY!" Sailor Mercury calls out, shrouding the youma in fog. Then she goes to check on the redhead. Sailor Sol was just disentangling herself from the tree, when Sailor Mercury found her. "You shouldn't move, you probably have a broken bone!" Mercury exclaims. "Nah, Oyaji hits worse than that." Sailor Sol retorts. "Um, where is it?" Sailor Mercury points at the fog. The redhead cracks her knuckles, and dashes into the fog. ----- Later that day: "So, why didn't Luna tell us about you?" Ami asks. "Luna? Who's Luna?" Ranma asks. "You don't know?" Ami asks. "Black cat, crescent moon on her forehead." ----- About a month and a half later. "Are you the Moon Princess?" Usagi asks. "I don't think I am." Ranma replies. She adds in her head. ----- About two weeks ago: Ranma groans as her computer detected yet another youma. "That's fifteen, this week." She grumbles as she recalls her henshin rod from subspace, and transforms. ----- Present, somewhere near Juuban: Ranma woke up, the fragments of the dream fading even before they could be thought about. Genma throws Ranma out of the tent, and into a tree. "Time to train, boy!" The last of the fog of sleep left the young boy's mind, the dream completely forgotten now, began his morning sparring session. Although something seemed odd in retrospect, but what Ranma couldn't place. Well, things like that aren't paticurly important to this twelve year old boy. Since whatever it was, he knew it didn't have to do with any immediate threat, so he promptly dropped that train of thought, and concentrated on the fight at hand. ----- Three and a quarter years later: Ranma woke up in a cold sweat. She couldn't remember the dream that had caused it, but she figured that it was because of that Amazon trying to kill her over a stupid fight. ----- About two weeks after Ranma's arrival in Nerima: Ranma woke up with a start, she was drenched in sweat, and couldn't quite remember the dream that caused it. Except this time, she did remember one thing, a glaive. What it's importance was, she didn't know. So, she did what came logicly, she went back to sleep. ----- Some months later: The dreams that she had been having since Jusenkyo were becoming clearer, and she could remember more. It was curiosity that drove her to try to remember. And since the dreams seemed clearer when she was female, she would on occaision sleep in female form. ----- A few days after the failed wedding: The dreams were clearer now, but that clarity came with a price. The dreams were about his female form, or rather, about a life she could have led. Or something like that. There seemed to be a fog around the dreams, that Ranma couldn't figure out. ---------- End Chapter Zero Author's notes: I know, the Ranma in a fuku thing is old, overdone, etc, etc, but I started this before I read half, or even a third, or even a tenth of the Ranma/Sailor Moon crossovers I've read. So I just didn't know how meny crossovers of these two series there were. (I'd only recently discovered fanfiction then.) I think you'll find this one interesting. And, if anyone's wondering, this story was first inspired by Sailor Ranko, by Fire.
