Ranma 1/2 - Fantasy Beyond A pseudo Fantasy Dungeons & Dragons crossover by DJGeek Disclaimer: Ranma 1/2 is not mine, and Dungeons and Dragons is also not mine. If I said it was mine, I’d be sued out of my wallet. ======================================================== PART 1 THE TALE AS IT BEGAN ======================================================== Ranma realized he was alone. Even though he had Akane, the Tendo family, and his “best friend”, it was still not enough. Although he lived in the Tendo dojo for a long amount of time, he still did not actually know the rest of the entire family, except for Kasumi. Even she had her own dreams but was tied down due to her responsibilities. Ranma felt so sorry for Kasumi and tried to take her responsiblity, but nevertheless she had refused, explaining this was her chosen path. Reluctantly, Ranma accepted it albeit it seemed wrong to him. The young martial artist breathed a deep breath of the chilling air of night and looked at his hands. he kept on remembering about the fight with Saffron in China. For all these years, he stuck down to the belief that a martial artist could not kill out of cold blood, yet he shed blood out of hatred and desperation, and for Akane. Luckily, he suceeded to bring his fiancee back to life. But that was not just the problem. He discovered that he had immense skill and power, enough to alienate himself from anybody, even other martial artists. Saffron was not just anybody; he was a demigod, and demigods were extremely difficult to die. Yet, Ranma was successful in destroying him. Ranma didn't just improve his skills; he was THAT powerful. It also scared him. Many of his peers began to be afraid of him and avoided any contact. Even the whole Tendo family, with the exception of Akane, avoided him. His fiancee remained herself. Hiroshi and Daisuke seemed slightly distant to him. It was not just of his intimidating stature, it was lack of communication. Sure they talked the occasional small talk, but it wasn't that. He didn't show any real friendship with them due to his pride and lack of real knowledge of friendship. Heck, even though he thought Ucchan was his best friend, he began questioning that ever since she kept on chasing for his affections and ruined the wedding. Akane. He said those three words when she came back to him, but he realized those were just words of relief and desperation. After the wedding, she became more angry at him and distant. not to mention a driven desire to become better than him. Ranma had notice the increase of Akane's skills, but every time he tried to have a tender conversation with her, she would back off and question his sanity. Therefore, the only words of tenderness was "Hi" and "Wanna spar?" His rivals and fiancees were no exception. Ryouga was still himself, and Ranma's fiancees didn't learn anything when he told them he didn't love them. Kodachi blamed Akane for his madness, and Shampoo believed Akane did something to him. But the worst of all was that Ucchan didn't listen to him. She kept on insisting that he was making a wrong choice and threatened to break off his friendship. But being the weak spine he was, Ranma still maintained her engagement. Sometimes, he would curse himself for that. Ranma didn't want to be alone anymore. He wanted friends, someone or anybody he could call his compatriot, and it didn't matter if he or she wasn't or isn't into martial arts. He realized friendship was one of the main important parts, not martial arts. Martial Arts is a form discipline and martial skills, and was not a form for anything that dealt with the matters of the heart, which was something he desperately craved for. Although he knew he didn't know anybody in high school, but friendship could start with the ones he knew somewhat, namely Daisuke and Hiroshi. The lonesome boy sighed again and went off to Hiroshi's house, hoping he could hang out there. It was getting too tense to still stay in the Tendo residence. ------------------------------------------------------ Five minutes ago... ------------------------------------------------------ "Oh Ranma, its bedtime," called out Kasumi. She was wondering Ranma had gone. She was worried that if he was still outside, he might catch a cold. But then, she noticed a note on the table in the dining room. It said: Gone to Hiroshi's house. I'll be back sometime tomarrow. Ranma Kasumi smiled at the note. She was concerned about Ranma being alone. Her family wasn't doing anything in making him feel accepted. NOw, she was proud of him having the will to find true friendship. ------------------------------------------------------ Hiroshi's house ------------------------------------------------------ "Hey Hiroshi, got any beer!?" yelled out Diasuke. He needed some alcohol, and it was not leet to not have beer. "Yeah! it's in the fridge! Help yourself!" yelled Hiroshi from the basement. "Okay!" responded Diasuke. "Wierd," he thought. Why is Hiroshi in the basement and what was he doing there? Ah, but those questions were better left to sages or the Kami-sama. He went fill to himself with Ebisu beer. "Hey guys, I've brought my character and some dice!" yelled out a female voice. The voice came from a mixed Japanese and Scottish girl with reddish-brown hair, wearing a Metallica T-shirt and wornout jeans, and carrying a Dungeons & Dragons player handbook and a bag of dice. Katherine was an American foriegn exchange student and met Hiroshi and Daisuke, while finding their love for gaming while also revealed her own love for gaming. In fact, she was taking programming classes here in Nerima so she could be on her way to her dream career: to be a computer game designer. "Cool!" Hiroshi yelled. "Just set it there on the table Katherine-san! Katherine setted the handbook and dice on the table and proceeded to relax. Diasuke went into the living room, holding a six-pack, chilled to perfection, and handed a can out to the red-brown haired girl. "Here you go Milady," said Daisuke in English. His speech and English skills improved while hanging around with Hiroshi and Katherine. "Cool," thanked Katherine as she recieved the gift from her fellow Jap. She snapped the opening of the can and took a swig, while muttering, "I killed you in Counter-Strike Dai." "Hey! It was plain luck! I couldn't get my leet skills in time!" "Right, SOME leet skills you got..." "Hey, I SUPPOSE you don't remember who headshot you FIVE times in a row, eh?" Katherine winced at that bit of truth. "Camper." "AM NOT! You're just jealous." Both friends laughed at the sillyness of trying to start an argument about gaming. As much it was silly, it was just fun attempting to. Katherine and Daisuke was wondering what took Hiroshi so long. Their session was supposed to start soon. "Hey Hiroshi! What's taking so long!" yelled both fellows. "I'm almost done! Gimme a few seconds!" After a brief period of time, Hiroshi came up, holding an item which looked to be a chain-linked shirt, attached to a collar that had some sort of fantasy influenced design. Kath and Dai's mouths were both on the floor as they were amazed at the craftwork. "Damn, you DID that!? That is so leet!" exclaimed Dai while chugging his beer. "Shit Hiro, that is awesome!" followed Katherine suit while downing twice the beer than Daisuke. "Does it fit?" both the amazed asked. Hiroshi, needless to respond with words, just nodded. Both quickly tried on the chainmail shirt only to find it fit them perfectly, though it was a bit loose for Katherine. After being amazed for thirty minutes at the Hiroshi's craftwork, The party setted up the game, with the daily ale readied in their hands. But Daisuke insisted on wearing the chainmail shirt for he said something about protection against the evil darkness. "So, what campaign are we playing?" asked Daisuke, eagerly anticipating on trying out the new sword his paladin recieved from the last adventure. "It's called, the Ruined Mirkwoods campaign. This time, this campaign is really going to drive you crazy," answered Hiroshi, giving off an evil grin with the promise of misery. "Cool! We get to fight baddies with higher levels and stuff?" asked Katherine, already pshyched into the game. "You'll see." After thirty minutes, the party found themselves surrounded by four drow and their pet spiders. "Damn!" yelled Daisuke(Alanon) as he missed the drow's head. "Alanon! Look out!" warned Katherine(Ghaladria) as she casted bless on the surrounded paladin. "Alanon misses the drow while Katherine casts bless. You both have plus two on attack roles and a bonus one on saving throw," explained Dungeon Master Hiroshi. "The drow are furious that you've killed one of their kin, and are beginning to advance. The spiders are near Alanon, and begin to attack." The DM started to roll the dice while Dai was sweating bullets. Then, there was knocking on the door. "Great," sighed Hiroshi. "Wait guys, I'm gonna go get the door." "cool." The DM exited from the adventure and went to the entrance to answer the door. "Alright, who's there... Ranma!?" There was Ranma, in front of the entrance. But there was something different about him. He didn't wear his usual Chinese clothes, it was just a T-shirt and pants, and although he had a confident look on his face, his eyes were tired and pleading for acceptance. "Uh, hi Hiroshi." "Hey Ranma but, what're you doing here?" "Hey, uh, can I hang around here? I just don't feel like being around in the dojo. Things are getting too tense there." "Akane, huh?" "Something like that." "Uh sure, you can come in," offered Hiroshi. Ranma gave a huge smile and accepted his offer. "Thanks man," thanked the fellow martial artist. "No prob," kindly replied Hiroshi. As they both entered the living room, Daisuke noticed the pigtailed boy. "Yo Ranma! Lookin' large," greeted Dai as he slapped hands with Ranma. "Hi! I believe we haven't met before," welcomed Katherine. She had heard about Ranma from the duo, but she didn't know he was THAT cute. "Uh, hi," nervously replied the pigtailed boy. He noticed the papers, illustrated maps, and dice littered all over the table, and noticed Daisuke wearing some sort of chain suit while muttering about big swords and evil darkness. "What are you guys doing?" asked Ranma. "We're playing a game Ranma," answered Hiroshi. "That don't look like any game I've seen before." "It's a kind of a different game Ranma." "Do you wanna play?" tenderly asked Katherine. She wanted to get to know Ranma as well as having another player. "Uh..." "So, you wanna play?" asked Daisuke. Even he was eager to let Ranma play. He wanted to see what role his martial artist friend would take. "Um..." "Uh, so... you in?" joined the DM. Ranma, knowing he had nothing to do in the evening except for doing katas, which he did for a long time, decided to try it out. Maybe this'll get his mind off of stress, plus he wanted to know more about his friends while sharing his thoughts. "Yeah. I'm in." "YEAH!" yelled Alanon, as he was grateful in welcoming another member to the party. Ghaladria was glad too. And so started the Band Of Misfits. --------------------------------------------- The pool of dimensions... --------------------------------------------- Toltiir was busy looking at some of the dimensions of many Ranmas until he saw something that caught his eye... Ranma playing Dungeons & Dragons. It was kind of wierd, Ranma, being a jock would playing something so geeky like D&D... It was really strange. Until he came up with this idea... After thinking about the Lord Of The Ring movie he had seen during his off-duty time, he now had an idea on which dimension to send Ranma in: A Fantasy world of elves, dwarves, halflings and the like. The World of Erithia. Perfect. "And now to plan the game," chuckled Toltiir. But something else, Toltiir finally admitted he was a sucker for anything fantasy like. He had a whole set of Lord of the Rings books... ---------------------------------------------- some months passed... ---------------------------------------------- Ranma had never been so happy in his entire life. He had finally found true friendship with his mates and a couple others. He also found he felt better when he opened up alot more. He gained acceptance in the entire Furinkan High, and he had more fun hanging out than actually trying to prove himself of his skills. Unfortunately, this brought up alot of attention from the girls and made Ranma nervous whenever a female tried to approach him. He was a bit fearful that his "Fiancee troops" might take it the wrong way and try to harrass her. But the only true female friends he ever had was Sayuri and Katherine. He had told Sayuri, who was Akane's friend, about what the pressure he was under and told her he didn't love Akane anymore. Ranma was more honest about himself to many of his friends, and so Sayuri became one of his dearing companions. The martial artist found himself liking Dungeons & Dragons and having an interest for the fantasy genre. He liked playing a new role in a different world, while using his own imagination to do unlimited actions in different situations. Plus, he learned alot of English from Hiroshi, Daisuke and Katherine during their adventures together, almost shocking English teacher Hinako when she graded his papers. Plus, he didn't need to have godlike powers; just his tactics. His friends were the ones that encouraged him to be more open, to enjoy life and find that life is more than just martial arts. Ranma discovered that he liked gardening, going to movies, and found an interest to pick up a fantasy book to read when he wanted peace and quiet to rest his weary mind. But still, his future career was being a martial artist and having his own dojo. Unfortunately, there are the bad parts. The bad but good part was that Kuno was extremely jealous of the attention Ranma was getting, so he challenged Ranma to a duel. ------------------------------------ Flashback... ------------------------------------ "I challenge you to a duel Ranma!" "And," asked Ranma with a serious face. He didn't need this now. "If I win, you shall reveal your own farce to your peers!" exclaimed Kuno. "And if I win, I want to beg for your forgiveness for anything I have done you wrong," replied the challenged. Kuno was a bit taken back from this since he felt no sarcasm from Saotome, just seriousness. Still, nothing good can come from Ranma... "Prepare to be vanquished, cur!" As Ranma brought himself to a defensive stance, Kuno charged with his bokken at forward. But as he reached nearer, he found his opponent was not aiming for offensive. He was just... standing there. The pseudo-samurai boy could not stop his weapon on time and made contact. CRACK! The pigtailed boy staggered a bit in pain ashe reached for Kuno's hand and shook it. "Congradulations Kuno," said the injured opponent. "You've shown improvement in your skill. The battle is yours." Before Ranma started to leave, Kuno yelled out, "WAIT!" "What is it, Kuno?" "Why? Why have you left me victory when I knew you were not attacking?" "Because Kuno, defeating you would still make you hate me more. I didn't want you to hate me more." "I...." "Don't worry about it. Work on your skill, and you'll defeat me." As Ranma left, Kuno was in thought. Ranma didn't show any sarcasm. He said it with his heart, and the victor could feel the pigtailed boy's sadness within and after the battle. "Ranma... I guess I was wrong about you..." --------------------------------------------- So, Kuno had become his friend and sparring partner, increasing his skill to ten-fold with Ranma's sparring and training. Akane was also jealous of Ranma's new outlook in life, and was angry that one of her best friends was also one of her "fiancee's" best friends. In a fit of rage, due to their discussion about Ranma, she cancelled contact with Sayuri and told her she wasn't her friend anymore. Ranma came and convinced her to bring back the friendship, telling her what she was doing is wrong. Akane was even shocked about how she actually listened to Ranma for the first time. But since then, the worst part of it all was Ryouga and the fiance troops, Whom had some sort of idea that Ranma was having an affair with Katherine. ---------------------------------------------- Another flashback... ---------------------------------------------- "Ranohan, you are in a forest, surrounded by eight orcs, which all want a piece of you. Alanon and Ghaladria are right behind those orcs, six spaces away. What is your action," explain Hiroshi. Ranma(Ranohan) the ranger was sweating in fear and nervousness. He was down to the point of being moderately injured, ran out of charming creature spells, and there was no way out. He had to do the only logical thing. "I become the decoy. I'll attract their attention by throwing rocks at them," answered Ranma. Hiroshi rolled the dice. "Success, you managed to get their attention and they are now approaching you." Thank goodness later, Alanon took the orcs by surprise and whacked the remaining ones while Ghaladria healed Rahonan of his injuries. "Rest time, I need a beer," exclaimed Ranma. "Yeah, me too, that was one tough battle," agreed Daisuke. "I'll get it," offered Ranma. As he went to the kitchen, he started to feel a tremor. "Uh... guys... you feel that?" asked Ranma. "Uh, no... did you pissed someone off?" joked Hiroshi. "No..." "Guys, I feel it too," agreed Katherine as she began to feel something was wrong. "Methinks it be evil zombies," chuckled Dai. But suddenly, the floor was ripped open, and Ryouga was there, looking straight at Ranma, with murder in his eyes. "Ranma.... I found you..." "Uh... hey Ryouga." "Ranma, you shall pay for your crimes against Akane." "Excuse me," defended Katherine. "I'm not affliated with Ranma in anyway..." "Shut up you two-timing slut!" "Hey! You don't come here and insult my friend!" "Shut up, I heard from Akane! You went frolicking with this girl behind Akane's back!" "WHAT!?" Suddenly, a Chinese boy named Mousse arrived at the scene. "Mousse! You too?" "No Ranma, not this time. I'm trying to warn you that..." Suddenly, the roof ripped out. Out came the Fiance Troops, including the one and only, Akane. "M-My beautiful house!," cried Hiroshi. "Ukyo, Shampoo, K-Kodachi? Akane, you too!?" "Ranma! How dare you cheat on me with this bitch!" angrily hollered Akane. "WHAT THE HELL!? You apologize right now..." "Ranchan, I thought we loved each other!" exclaimed Ukyo. "Ucchan, put the weapon down..." "Or Ranma my love, let me strike down temptress so we can go back to our lovemaking!" "NO!" "Come on girls, its time!" "No! Shampoo, don't do it!" desperately yelled Mousse. The girls ignored his heed and went towards Katherine, brandishing their weapons. Katherine closed her eyes, while saying goodbye to all her dear friends and family. But nothing came. Instead of being overwhelmed by the United Fiancees Attack, Ranma took the brunt. She saw him bleeding from cuts. For Ranma, it was ENOUGH. "THAT'S IT! I'VE HAD IT!" "Ranma blew his ki against his fiancees, and approached them with furious intent. "I thought of you as better Akane and UKYO! I thought you can trust me. but NO! Even hanging around with friends isn't ENOUGH! And Ukyo, I thought you were really my friend! FRIENDS DON'T ATTACK OTHER FRIENDS! SHAMPOO, you can forget my friendship, BECAUSE YOU'VE LOST IT! AND KODACHI! WORST OF ALL! I GAVE YOU FRIENDSHIP,AND YOU GAVE ME TRUST, BUT NOW YOU'VE TORN IT ALL AWAY, BECAUSE YOU CAN'T STAND ME HAVING A FEMALE FOR A FRIEND!" "I'm telling you, I'VE HAD IT! NO MORE ENGAGEMENTS! FORGET THIS RANMA, 'CAUSE YOU CAN'T TOUCH THIS," loudly yelled Ranma while pounding where his heart is to emphasize his point. Ryouga decided that Ranma had enough speeches. "Shut up Ranma! You die now!" "Wait, Ryouga!" called Akane. Ryouga charged at Ranma outside of the house, with Akane her fellow fiancees pursuing the chase. ----------------------------------------------------------- As Ranma and Ryouga fought in the streets, they did not realize they were in Nerima park and near the fountain. The distraught, pigtailed boy was too busy dodging all of Ryouga's attacks to notice the fountain behind him. "Damn it Ryouga, didn't you hear me? It was the wrong truth; she's my friend!" gasped Ranma, trying to put some sense into Ryouga. "Shut up, Ranma! I had enough of your lies! You're always trying to find some way to get out of the mess you've cause! YOU are the reason for the hell you caused to me and Akane!" Ryouga yelled back as he attacked Ranma only to meet the air. They were getting REALLY close to the fountain. But the worst part was that Akane and the fiancee troops were there, viewing the fight. "Now Ranma, you die." The lost boy charged a ki attack using the basest of all of his depressions. "Ryouga, wait, you don't know what your doing..." "I know EXACTLY what I'm doing, which is trying to kill you!" The over-depressed martial artist let loose his energy, aiming for Ranma. "Shi-shi, Houkoudan!" A huge beam of ki when towards Ranma, but he was quick on his feet, dodging the projectile. But something was wrong; Ranmahad noticed the fountain, and the Houkoudan struck and broke it, releasing water everywhere. "NO!" cried out Ranma. The pigtailed boy tried to get Ryouga out of the way but it was too late. Both were engulfed by the water land on top of them. Ranma had changed into a girl, and Ryouga a pig. But what's worse is that Akane was witnessing the event. She was in shock when she found out who P-Chan really is. Ranma-onna carried the drenched piglet out of the water, and met up with Akane, standing straight before her eyes. Then she realized something. Her fiancee had seen Ryouga transform. "Oh, shit." she fearfully thought. "Ah, Akane, I can explain..." "Ryouga, is that you? You're P-chan!?" asked Akane, totally and trying not to believe this. "Squeel," squealed Ryouga-pig as he looked in Akane's eyes. They were so beautiful, yet so cold. Then he realized something. "SQUEAL!" "Ryouga-no-hentai!" Ryouga-pig, embarrassed and shamed, ran away in tears while Ranma looked at him as he left with sadness in her eyes. "I'm so sorry Ryouga." apologized the now female Ranma, although P-chan was nowhere in sight now. "I...I'm sorry Ranma, I..."said Akane, hoping to gain her fiance's forgiveness but was quickly cut off. "I'm sorry too Akane, but it's over." "W-what?" "It's over. The truth is, I don't love you anymore." "Is it because.." "No, it's not Katherine. I'm not into that with her. She's my best friend, and you made me lose respect of you when you tried to attack her." "But.." "No buts Akane. I'm done with this. I can't do this everyday. If no one trusts me nor tries to become my real friend, then forget it. And it's not just you Akane, it's also Ukyo, and the other girls." "But, I love you..." "Well, I don't. I'm sorry Akane." And that said, Ranma left for Akane to figure it all out. ---------------------------------------------- After the whole fiasco, Ranma broke off contact from Ukyo until she extremely apologized to him and Katherine, and discontinued the marraige contract. Now they were back together as friends, hanging around with the Band of Misfits. Shampoo and Cologne, realizing that there was nothing that they can do to capture Ranma anymore, returned to their tribe and wished him the best of luck. The pig-tailed boy told Shampoo that although he didn't love her, he could always be her friend. That said, he gave her a bonquet of flowers he had specially grown to give a gift of rememberance to all the good times they've had instead of the bad ones. The marraige contract between Genma's son and Soun's youngest daughter was finally broken, and Ranma was not allowed anymore in the household, including Genma. Ranma's father returned home after finding out that Nodoka wasn't that serious about the seppuku contract. But she was finally happy to meet her son, and agreed that he could stay in Nerima. As for Ranma and Mousse, they both became good friends and lived in Hiroshi's house and rebuilding it, while introducing the Chinese boy to D&D. So far... it was okay... --------------------------------------------- Six weeks later... --------------------------------------------- Ryouga was happy. He finally found a solution to all his problems with Ranma. It came in the form of a rod that he stoled off from an old antique store. The rod was a half-staff with a crystal orb attached to the head. There was an engravement on the rod which had this phrase: "Yeloem Ehl Portal". Ryouga didn't understand what that meant, but he did understand that the rod had a useful purpose to his own interests. He read the manual that came with the rod. The manual was in Olde English, but being a well language-educated boy like Ryouga, he could translate the manual. Ye whom ever holds this rod of power, Dost have power to send, The chosen one doth desire the most, To be sent to The Time Of End. Thus To do this wretched deed, Must focus upon thy enemy of most burden, Chant the words, "Liebrem Verata Niktu", And send him to his own fate to the end of time. This was what attracted him to this artifact because IN other words, Ryouga could focus this rod on Ranma, chant the words, and send him to the burning depths of Hell. It was a brilliant plan. There would be no more Ranma in his life, and his enemy would finally face the pain that he had brought upon Ryouga. "This is it Ranma. Finally you will pay for the crimes you have committed against ME and Akane," promised Ryouga. Then, he heard a whistling. It was Ranma. ========================================================== Ranma was whistling, enjoying the peace he never had for a long time, while delivering Kasumi's groceries. Although he did not live in the household anymore, he was still intent on helping out Kasumi. But nevertheless, he was glad because he had no more fiancees to chase after him, and no enemies trying to kill him yet. It was a beautiful day, the sky was clear, the air was good, and it was quiet. But then suddenly, he saw Ryouga, looking still mad as hell, but with a strange grin on his face when he had his eyes set on him. "Great, there's Ryouga. I hope he's calmed downed about last time. I guess I should say how sorry I am. Hmm... why the heck is he smiling for?" thought Ranma. He was worried when Akane found out who P-chan really was. In any rate, he was expecting that Ryouga would soon come and try to kill him. But when he was deciding that when Ryouga arrived, he was going to restrain him first, and then talk some sense into him. Then by some dumb luck, he managed to spot Ryouga. "Uh, hey Ryouga! What's up," greeted Ranma. Ryouga, knowing his expected reaction in the encounter, charged at Ranma. "Ranma, prepare to PAY for your crimes!" "Hey man, you're just who I wanted to see," gladly responded Ranma as he dodged every blow Ryouga tried to dish out. "I want to talk to you." "THERE'S NOTHING TO TALK ABOUT," angrily grunted Ryouga as he thrusted punch after punch in hopes of making contact with his opponent. Then Ranma managed to leap out of the way. "Ryouga, calm down man. I have to talk to you about yesterday. It wasn't my fault," explained Ranma. Too bad words can't reach to a guy like Ryouga Hibiki. "That doesn't matter anyway! You're finally going to pay for all the pain you've caused to me and Akane," yelled Ryouga. "What's the matter with you," replied Ranma. Ryouga was SO irritating when he wouldn't listen to reason. "Forget it Ranma. This time, you're not getting out of this one," calmly said Ryouga with a tone of menace in his voice. He then pulled out and readied the rod on his right hand. "And this is the tool to finish my revenge." "Uh... Ryouga... WHAT are you going to do with that?" Why is Ryouga carrying that stick? "I'm going to send you to Hell Ranma. Then you're going to feel the pain I've felt ever since you ruined my life," smirked Ryouga. He then pointed the rod at Ranma, concentrating his hate upon the rod to Ranma. "What the hell," thought Ranma as he backed away a bit. He could see that the orb that was attached to the rod was glowing, and then seemed to be charging. Then suddenly, he realized that he couldn't move his feet, no matter how he tried. "SHIT RYOUGA, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?" "THAT'S JUST IT RANMA! I'M SENDING YOU BACK TO HELL!" Then Ranma heard the words from Ryouga's lips. "Liebrem Verata Niktu!" And in a flash, he was gone. Finally, he's gone," smiled Ryouga. ------------------------------------------------------- Toltiir was now glad his plan was finally in action. "Now the game begins," he purred. ------------------------------------------------------- ============================================== Six months later in the Kernsen Forests, located in Lotheria, the northern continent of the world of Erethia... ============================================== A ranger knows patience. A ranger is also attuned to the ways of nature. Everywhere around, it is nature that is his ally, his benefactor, and his home. He is patient to everything even when situations become dire. A ranger must become vigil to anything that dark that seeks disguises it self from its true intentions, and even respect nature itself because although there is beauty, there is her wrath. But also, to be a ranger is to know the truth between what is good and evil without prejudice based on emotion. Ranohan was now utilizing his patience for it was required in ambushing the orcish bandit group. He pulled tight the string of his bow Silveindal and aimed his readied arrow, positioning his aim at the at the head of an orc that seemed to be the leader. The ranger was on top of the tree, hidden by the branches, waiting for his target to be within his sight. One of the things he learned as being as ranger under the tutelage of Master Ranger Roarn was the way of the bow. He had learned that patience, endurance, controlled strength and skill were the key elements of the skill of fletchery. Finally, the bandit group stopped, and seemed to have their backs turned. Now was the time to strike. Ranma fired his bow. FWWWOOOSH! As soon as the arrow struck the Orc bandit leader, The orcs without their source of leadership were confused and panicked. Ranohan leaped from the trees, and he then unsheathed his blade Windstrike and sliced two more orcs. he flipped landed on the ground, giving a look that promised pain. One orc fled except the ones who wanted to show this human the fury of their might. He did a somersault to manuever from the swings of the Orcs' blades and flip-kicked the orc to the right. As another orc charged at him, he quickly crouched low and simultaneously slashed low at the orc's gut, hearing his cry of pain. the ranger then unsheathed his other sword Dragontail and commenced a two-weapon form that was unpredictable for the orc to parry, and injured him before he could strike again. After knocking him out, it left the only one who dropped his axe, after seening his injured and defeated warkin and knowing true defeat. He then dropped to his knees, pleading mercy in rough orc language. "Raliek Krahn!" cried the orc. Ranma went up to the defeated orc, pointing both his swords at the orcs throat. "Never ever come back to Hiemsdale again. If I see you again, then I will kill you," replied Ranma in orc langauge. A ranger was also merciful. The orc, thankful for his enemy's mercy, fled from the scene. "Hey Ranma!" Ranohan, also known as Ranma, swerved his head to look for the one with that voice. It was his best friend, a half-orc girl Giel' Kre, now a first orc to be a ranger. But she was not like those other orcs; she fought for justice, peace, and honor. But also, she fought to defend the weak and her friends. "How do you fare?" asked the Japanese ranger. But it was not in Japanese anymore, but the Westron Common. "My group managed to repel the bandit invasion," Giel' Kre proudly said as she held her fist to her chest. "How fare you," she asked. "I'm successful," answered Ranohan as he wiped clean of his blades. "Hey, come on, let us go give them a proper burial and head back to the inn to enjoy our evening with a mug of Woodsberry ale. How's that sound?" "Don't worry. You go ahead. I'll follow." "You don't need help?" "No. Besides, it was me who shed blood in the first place." "Okay," replied Giel' Kre as she went off, but also giving Ranma a pleasurable smile. To Ranma, it nearly melted his heart. As he gave the passed bandits a burial and proper prayer to his god Anlokeen, the lord of warriors and lord of honor, he sighed and thought back to his old life. He knew that he did not have a chance of returning back to his own world, but at least could find friends here. END PART 1 ------------------------------------------------------- Author's note: I was totally in serious thought today. I was talking to Rob Barba about serious fic writing and we were talking about MeToo fic writers. Looking back, I've seen that my fic crossover Fantasy Beyond was almost venturing to MeTooism, due to short, rushed plot, and short details and bad characterization. I HAD to improve it. Now, you get Part One. Finally. It's the longest I've ever written, and I'm proud of that. I didn't have the will to actually write fanfiction, but thanks to Rob, I've found it. I'll be rewriting the entire chapters until I deem them to be good. Until then, have a spicy meatball. DJGeek, out. evening ==============================
